LG AC IR Control Kit

LG AC IR Control Kit for Smart Thermostat Compatibility

The LG AC IR Control Kit is designed to make compatible LG air conditioners work with popular 24V smart thermostats such as Nest, Ecobee, and other supported smart thermostat systems. It provides a practical way to upgrade your LG AC with smart control, scheduling, and app-based comfort management without using the standard LG dry contact module.

This kit is especially useful for customers in Dubai and the UAE who want to connect their LG AC with a modern smart thermostat but need a cost-effective and professional installation solution.

Nest and Ecobee Ready LG AC Control Solution

The LG AC IR Control Kit is Nest and Ecobee ready for compatible 24V smart thermostat installations. Once installed correctly, it helps your smart thermostat communicate with your LG air conditioner through infrared control, similar to how an AC remote sends commands to the indoor unit.

This allows customers to enjoy smart thermostat features such as temperature control, scheduling, remote access, and automation, depending on the thermostat model and final system setup.

Important Compatibility Note

This kit only works with 24V smart thermostats. It does not support 220V smart thermostats. Before installation, your thermostat model, LG AC type, wiring condition, and control requirements must be checked by a professional technician.

Professional installation is required because the kit does not come with a DIY installation guide. Incorrect setup may affect thermostat control, AC response, or system performance.

Alternative to LG Dry Contact Module

Many LG AC systems require a special interface to work with third-party thermostats. The LG AC IR Control Kit works as a practical alternative to the LG dry contact solution for selected LG air conditioners where IR-based control is suitable.

Instead of using complex hardwired communication in every case, this kit uses infrared technology to help bridge the gap between the LG AC and the smart thermostat. This makes it a useful option for customers looking for a simpler and more affordable smart thermostat compatibility solution.

How the LG AC IR Control Kit Works

The kit uses IR signal control to communicate with the LG air conditioner. When the smart thermostat sends a command, the IR kit helps translate the control signal into a command your LG AC can understand.

1. Smart thermostat command: The Nest, Ecobee, or other 24V thermostat sends a temperature or mode instruction.
2. IR-based control: The LG AC IR Control Kit sends the matching infrared signal toward the LG indoor unit.
3. LG AC response: The air conditioner receives the command and adjusts operation based on the setup.

This setup helps bring smart thermostat control to compatible LG air conditioners without relying only on the original remote controller.
