Apple Home and Home Key Support

The Aqara Smart Lock U50 is fully integrated with Apple Home, making access effortless and secure. With Apple Home Key support, you can unlock your door simply by tapping an iPhone or Apple Watch, even when the device has no power. The lock also allows you to manage and share door access with family and guests through Apple Home. When paired with a Matter-compatible Aqara hub, it offers support for Matter-enabled smart home ecosystems. After adding the lock to the Aqara Home app, only the administrator’s fingerprint or password can reset it.

Multiple Unlocking Options and Remote Access

The Smart Lock U50 provides multiple ways to unlock the door, offering convenience for different situations. You can use the keypad to enter a personal code, configure and send remote passwords via the Aqara Home app when connected to an Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub, or generate one-time local passwords for access when the internet is unavailable. A temporary password feature is also available for visitors, ensuring controlled and time-limited access. The NFC card is not included and must be purchased separately.

Seamless Smart Home Integration

With an Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub, the Smart Lock U50 is compatible with various third-party ecosystems, including Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and IFTTT, in addition to the Aqara Home app. This flexibility allows the lock to be integrated into a wide range of smart home automation setups. When connected to the Aqara Video Doorbell G4, you can see who is at your door and unlock the U50 remotely for added convenience.

Automatic Locking and Quiet Mode

The Smart Lock U50 features an automatic locking function powered by a built-in gyroscope that detects when the door is closed. This ensures the door is always secured without requiring manual locking. The auto-lock feature can also be disabled when needed, allowing the door to remain unlocked in passage mode. Additionally, the lock includes a Do Not Disturb mode, which silences the lock sounds during a set time period to avoid disturbing family members at night.

Durable Construction and Long Battery Life

The U50 Smart Lock is built with a durable zinc alloy body, offering an IPX5 water resistance rating and meeting the BHMA Level 3 security standard. It is designed to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -31°F to 150.8°F, making it suitable for various environments. The lock is powered by four AA batteries, which provide up to six months of battery life. For emergency power, a USB-C to A port is available, ensuring continued access even if the batteries are depleted. To enhance security, sensitive data is stored locally with AES encryption.

Easy Rekeying for Existing Keys

The lock cylinder of the Smart Lock U50 is designed for easy rekeying, allowing homeowners to use their existing keys. By removing the lock cylinder and having a locksmith adjust the pins, users can match the lock to an existing five-pin key, eliminating the need to replace their keys while upgrading security.
